I am in happy tears tonight after an amazing experience at Sam & Joe's in Danvers. My son and I biked to the park and then the extra block or two over to Sam and Joe's for dinner. We waited a short 10 minutes by grabbing a water and white wine spritzer from the bar area to be able to eat outside, though there were plenty of tables inside. Shown here is our tandem bike parked below, amazing bay view, and my delicious spritzer on such a gorgeous night. I had the chicken piccata which I know to be exquisite from here. My son had the kids menu pasta and sauce and I asked them to add a meatball, and they added two which was perfect because he ate a whole one with about a third of his ziti (baseball sized - dense & delicious meatballs, I had the spare to take home with us for leftovers!) & Finished with a classic hoodie cup. This was great for my 3.5year old who proved his appetite well with eating all this and the deck view held attention by pointing out boats, birds, and eventually inquiring about the moon. A wonderful gentleman from the table behind us engaged with us by telling us it's a Harvest Moon tonight. It was so sweet; several moments later when I go to try to pay - the sweet couple behind us had paid our bill for us!!!! I was so flabbergasted all I could manage was to thank him and his wife perfusely and tear up - my husband is away for the weekend, and we really needed this night out to decompress after finding out some frustrating medical news - People are So So Good, even our server who was also exceptional and sweet, was also tearing up. I wish I was in a better frame of mind to catch his name or express more of how much it means to me to be blessed like that tonight, but he said something to me about being able to tell I was a good mom and that he was able to pay it forward to me ❤️❤️❤️
Your Place and Ours Pizza is OMG YES! Road Trip, Cheat Day, Last Meal WORTHY!
What brought me here was a picture of their fried Gobbler turkey burger special. As a newly found ground turkey lover, and long time turkey sandwich lover, this is right up my alley. I'm also usually always game for something old school with a new twist. Well this sandwich doesn't disappoint. First, how they wrap it, think hand pie or personal calzone, is brilliant and keeps the sandwich in tact from first bite to last. This means you always get a bite with cranberry/stuffing/mashed potatoes. This turkey burger was so delicious, I would go back for it with bacon and onions. Heavy peppery taste but absolutely perfect mixed with the other components.
Now for the OMG YES! OMG YES! Yup, it gets 2 YES's because that is how amazing their homemade mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers are. These are BY FAR the best jalapeno poppers. They are cooked perfectly and when you bite in OMG, the delicious jalapeno cream cheese oozes heavenly yumminess..... The seasoning in the breadcrumb mix on the mozzarella sticks take these above any others. They are light, not greasy with smooth creamy stretchy mozzarella inside!
Don't stop there though, grab a thin crust pizza. We tried the steak and cheese and I mmmmmd every single bite! Since it is a white pizza, I can't speak for the pizza sauce, but I did dip the pizza in the sweet marinara provided for the mozzarella sticks and decided it is now my favorite pizza....
For our first time, I decided to order on the phone and pick it up. The kind person that took my order, informed me at the end we qualified for an order of free chicken fingers. This is the type of extra service that makes one want to go back again. I did not know there was any specials, they did not have to mention, but they did. That is great customer service! It is also brilliant for sales because they were absolutely amazing bites of white meat chicken lightly battered and crunchy and I will be ordering them from now on with every order!
I suggest going there soon if you want to try the Thanksgiving turkey burger as I read they are only this month and when they sell out, that is it! Either way, I will be back to try a fried stuffed baked potato - Yes you read that right too - they make fried stuffed baked potatoes (buffalo chicken, steak n cheese, jalapeno popper, etc) and making my way through all their homemade appetizers (fried pickles and fried mushrooms). We did not expect to love this place as much as we did, but seriously it is that good!

Krispy Kruncky Chicken from EMarket in Peabody is OMG YES! Road Trip, Cheat Day, Last Meal WORTHY!
First, order online or call ahead because they make it fresh. You will not find food sitting under heating lamps, only fresh to order. Their signature 'Krispy' chicken has a little pepper/Cajun kick that for me, takes this chicken to the top of my list. You can order without spice too, but note that it comes with a kick if you do not specify! Now for the perfectly crunchy skin and absolutely tender juicy inside. No idea how they nail this perfect cook each time, but they have it mastered! The onion rings are made using Vidalia onions, so sweet and delicious. On your way out, grab one of the homemade cookies (not the peanut butter cup, you wont like those at all and probably should just leave them all for me).
